Data is one of the most important values of our age. Today, the discourse that data is the oil of the new world is increasingly widespread. Every day, state institutions and private organizations collect, store, process and transfer significant amounts of data about individuals. With the adoption of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), a new era has begun in our country. While KVKK grants citizens certain rights against real and legal persons defined as data controllers, it has also brought certain obligations to data controllers. These obligations concern companies' Human Resources and Information Technology departments in particular.
